How can I enrol in Wyndham Tech School programs?

Wyndham Tech School does not enrol individual students.

Our programs and events are accessed by secondary school students through class excursions organised by their teachers.

If you’re a parent or carer and would like your child’s class to take part, the best next step is to speak with their teacher and encourage the school to get in touch with us.

Which schools can book programs with Wyndham Tech School?

Accepted Answer

Wyndham Tech School is funded by the Victoria Department of Education to support the 43 secondary schools within Wyndham and Hobsons Bay.

If your school is located elsewhere, there are 16 Tech Schools across Victoria and you can find your nearest Tech School at vic.gov.au/tech-schools (https://www.vic.gov.au/tech-schools)

Question 3

Do you offer programs for primary school students?

Wyndham Tech School is primarily funded by the Victorian Department of Education to support secondary students from Years 7–12.

However, this year only, we are offering an Advanced Primary STEM program for high-ability Year 5–6 students, made possible through Victorian Government funding as part of the 2026 Challenge and Enrichment Series, and delivered in partnership with Zoos Victoria.

How much do programs cost?

All Wyndham Tech School student programs and events are completely free!

We are funded by the Victorian Department of Education, and we also cover the cost of bus transport for schools that book in with us.

How far in advance should schools book?

We recommend getting in touch with us as early as possible.

Due to the extremely high demand of our 43 partner schools, our free programs tend to fully book out up to a year in advance.

Can students complete work experience at Wyndham Tech School?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Wyndham Tech School offers work experience opportunities for secondary students.

To apply, students need to email us at wyndham.tech@vu.edu.au (wyndham.tech@vu.edu.au)with:
1. A resume
2. A cover letter addressed to our Programs Coordinator, explaining:
    • The careers they are interested in
    • How Wyndham Tech School will support their future goals
    • The proposed dates for their placement

Can I come visit for a tour?

We offer tours for industry professionals, community organisations, or school staff who would like to explore ways to collaborate with us and see firsthand how we support students with innovative learning spaces and industry-driven programs. Contact us to see what's possible!

To maintain our child-safe learning environment, Wyndham Tech School cannot accomodate casual visits from parents, unsupervised children or unannounced visitors. If your child would like to see our spaces, the best next step is to speak with their teacher and encourage the school to get in touch with us.
